The Successful Programme
The NytNetværk Sønderborg programme has proved itself successful. The unique concept helps job seeking foreigners to enter the Danish workforce and thus contributes towards the integration of “new” Danes in society. To date, a total of 53 Mentees have taken part in a NytNetværk Sønderborg programme of which 31 Mentees have managed to secure a job. Six Mentees have since their participation in the programme chosen to embark on new studies. Thus, more than half of the Mentees have had a head start by taking part in the NytNetværk Sønderborg programme. Mentors:   95 % have gained professional as well as personal learnings. 70 % have strengthened their intercultural competences. 95 % have gained a better understanding of some of the challenges which ”new” Danes face in the job market. Mentees: 74 % perceive themselves as having become more confident. 70 % have improved their Danish language skills. 74 % have gained knowledge about the Danish job market. 76 % have become more active job seekers. 73 % have become more focussed in the job seeking process.
